As you can see, I rather forgot about this sketch. It’s been ridiculously busy at work, so I haven’t done much in the way of drawing. And after I had done this quick study of a chap sitting way down the carriage, with that thousand-yard stare that says someone is looking inward rather than out, I forgot all about him.
As ever, there wasn’t a great deal of time, and you can see that he shook himself back to the present and hopped off the Central Line before I had time to fill in his body.
But what I got seems to have caught a bit of the wistful, miles-away expression. As well as his slightly odd, tonsured hairstyle, which snaked in a black line across the top of his brow. Perhaps that was what was troubling him.
